Restaurant Disaster Relief Fund

The average small business loses $3,000 every day they remain closed due to a natural disaster. To help restaurants recover in times of critical need, DoorDash has partnered with Hello Alice to create the Restaurant Disaster Relief Fund. The fund supports restaurants impacted by natural disasters like fires, floods, and hurricanes, and provides relief through $10,000 grants.

The deadline to apply for the Summer 2024 Funding Round is Sept. 3, 2024.

SBA Working Capital Disaster Loan Assistance - Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDLs)

Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDLs) – Working capital loans to help small businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, and small businesses engaged in aquaculture, and most private, non-profit organizations of all sizes meet their ordinary and necessary financial obligations that cannot be met as a direct result of the disaster. These loans are intended to assist through the disaster recovery period. 

Under the recent, regional drought declaration, the SBA’s Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDLs) are available to eligible farm-related and nonfarm-related entities that suffered financial losses as a direct result of this disaster. Apart from aquaculture enterprises, SBA cannot provide disaster loans to agricultural producers, farmers or ranchers. Nurseries are eligible to apply for economic injury disaster loans for losses caused by drought conditions.

SCORE’s GS-360 Mentoring Program

For Pee Dee region small businesses, Grand Strand SCORE's new GS-360 service is offering a new mentoring services for established and mature small businesses in Horry, Georgetown, Florence, Marion, Williamsburg, Dillon, Chesterfield, Darlington or Marlboro counties. The GS-360 team, comprised of SCORE certified mentors, will work with small business employees and/or owners on a scheduled basis where an agenda that is set by the key SCORE client - business owner(s).

GS-360 is only an advisory service with no voting or legal standing but may offer clients a different fresh perspective on their business that may have been overlooked. The GS-360 team will confidentially review the status of your business, help you to identify the root cause of the problem and to define the path to full business recovery and steady growth. In addition, the Grand Strand SCORE will introduce you to a healthy network of local organizations that support small businesses, which will assure the sustainability of the offered solution on the local market.
